numi For Lindam Branding & Design Concepts
Overview of project goes here
numi For Lindam Branding & Design Concepts
Lindam is one of Europe's largest manufacturers of baby care products. Their range of baby gates
dominate the market and typically retail around the £15-£30 price bracket.
When Lindam launched a contemporary range of aluminum, carbon fibre and walnut gates, they
asked Our Agency to develop a brand which would redefine the standard.
After 2 months of research, discussion groups at parenting classes and hall testing, NUMI was
conceived. Meaning 'the seed of life', the brand reflects the symmetry associated with the 7 days of
creation and the word 'Numi' (or, new me), represents the creation of new life.
2010 Mountain Bike World Cup Bid Document
To bring the 2010 mountain bike world cup to the UK we told the story of a day's racing from beginning to end, taking the reader on a roller coaster journey around the track. Each of the 100+ pages were art directed, photographed and part illustrated. We then separated the content into 2 documents: one to sell the vision, which we called the WOW and the other to explain the technical data which we called HOW. Both were housed in a rubber slip case with bike tyre tread de-bossed into the front and housed in a thick 'wood look' highly textured box alongside a DVD, maps & French translation also undertaken.
2010 Mountain Bike World Cup Bid Document
Competing against world class rivals like Madrid and Offenburgh, Dalby Forest in North
Yorkshire had a formidable task to bring the World Cup Mountain Bike Event to the region and England.
To give the document a WOW factor the judges could not ignore, we focussed on the natural characteristics of the forest and its unique land formations and split the document into two parts: the HOW - an English/French comprehensive publication of mandatory requirements; and the WOW - a visually stimulating story of cycling and the surrounding area. We art directed, copy wrote, illustrated and bound the books in embossed rubber and delivered them to Switzerland in debossed, textured boxes... the UK won the bid. Job done!

Phd Nutrition brand and packaging design
When we were asked to create a brand for a company wishing to produce high quality, drug free nutritional supplements, we discovered that the nutritional supplements sector was saturated with images of pumped up body builders and over inflated claims.
Our research showed that potential users found these products overtly masculine and untrustworthy, so we began developing a brand which reflected the scientific nature of the product and the purity of it's ingredients. This gave the product legitimacy and respectability in the eyes of larger retailers and end users and positioned PhD as the 3rd largest producer of nutritional supplements in the UK within 3 years.

BREADSHED
When Liz, decided to give up a lucrative career in health and safety to open an artisan bread shop in the Lake District, we could only admire her decision to use her loaf!
Taking inspiration from Russian propaganda posters, we turned Liz into an icon of socialism, bringing wholesome bread to the people - no additives, no preservatives and made with natural yeast.
We didn't want Liz to blow all her dough on marketing, so the brand was designed in a single colour, ideal for cost effective print. We also cooked up a nice web site which features the daily specials and info about the surrounding area for tourists.
